We all love celebrity relationship gossip, especially about wedding rings! It helps us put our own relationships in perspective. With the constant drama associated with Hollywood romance, our own drama seems small in comparison. And, we can dream about owning wedding jewelry as fantastic as theirs.
Actor George Clooney declares on national TV, “no more wedding rings!” Well, those were not his exact words, but while he and his father Nick Clooney sat in on CNN’s ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’ and after his father blatantly announced on the show that he hoped to see his son tie the knot some day (actually he said that he, “yearned for the moment”), Clooney Jr did say, “I hate to blow your whole news story, but I was married, so I gave it a shot.”
He was referring to his brief marriage with actress Talia Balsam, who is now married to actor John Slattery of A&E’s Mad Men. Apparently, unlike her ex husband, she has not written of wedding bands for good.
Clooney is currently dating Elisabetta Canalis, a 32-year-old Italian woman. She was interviewed by Vanity Fair in 2010 and reported that she is very content with the way their relationship is. I suppose she has to be, since George seems to have made up his mind and wedding rings are out of the question anyway.

While our jewelry designs stay on trend when it comes to colors of the season or silhouettes that match those of the runways, we stay true to our brand’s idea of “then, now and forever.” I adore so many of the pieces 1928 comes out with, and while I do not consider my personal style any of the above, I still find that our pieces fit right into my wardrobe, and no matter what look or style I go for when I get dressed in the morning, there is always a 1928 pieces that will fit right into my outfit.
A personal style icon of mine is actress Gillian Zinser, and when I say style icon, I think she goes above and beyond what any other celebrity has given me in terms of style inspiration- she ALWAYS has an outfit that inspires me to look as much like her as I can! Archaeologists discovered this 2,000 year old gold, pearl and emerald earring in the ruins of a building in Jerusalem. Much of today’s jewelry resembles ancient styles, especially jewelry from designers who are inspired by historical pieces, like Amrita Singh (the first century collar necklace in the looks a lot like her from 2006). Another example — a , which esembles a that Maggie Gyllenhaal wore to the premiere of The Dark Knight. Fine jewelry is timeless, and we’re seeing a growing trend towards “new” styles that mimic past looks.
